reversible multi pocket coat

This product is sold out

A reversible coat by YOHJI YAMAMOTO POUR HOMME from S/S 2006. The coat was produced in several different fabrications, and this particular version is made up in a lightweight, black cotton shirting. It is cut long and generously, with unusual, narrow lapels, a four button front placket, and a belt which allows the coat to be cinched at the waist. On the outer side of the coat is a vest layer of sorts which has been sewn over the main body of the coat, and onto which six large, three dimensional zipped pockets are attached. Four of the pockets are grouped together on the front and two more have been placed on the sides. Each of the pockets is large enough to hold several small items, and have been stitched in such a way that they have a slightly distorted shape.
The coat can also be turned inside out, with the pockets on the inside, creating instead a very restrained, simple silhouette. The belt on the multi pocket side is fastened using matte black press studs, whereas the belt on the more restrained side fastens with a more conventional buckle.
