Workshop Y’s Yohji Yamamoto 1980s ‘washed flannel series’ navy collarless coat
Collarless coat from yohji yamamoto line y's workshop cottoning (circa 1980s), made from a thick, very dark navy melton wool fabric. The cut is generous, it has a five button front, and four pockets on the front with an additional buttoned pocket on the back. The coat seems to have been part of a sub sub line of workshop entitled "8620 - the washed flannel series", with the garment label bearing the simultaneously rude and hilarious assertion that "nothing's duller than a neat & tidy look"!
