A short sleeve, high neck top by TRICOT COMME DES GARCONS. Manufactured in 2001 in a lime green cotton, it is composed of two layers, with the outer layer cut shorter so that the hem of the inner layer is visible when the top is worn. This inner layer is also inside out whereas the outer layer has the right side showing, creating a contrast between the stitching lines visible on the outer layer and the overlocking and coverstitching visible on the inner layer. Although the top has been made using two full layers joined together (creating a clean finish on the inside), the layers are also secured at the underarms to keep the fabric in place.
