A shawl by french designer marc le bihan, made from a substantial/weighty red/navy/green tartan worsted wool twill. It is extremely simple in concept: a (roughly) 2 metre cut piece of fabric (the sides are just the selvedge of the bolt it was cut from) has been folded in half multiple times, with a small loop of the same fabric sewn around it to hold the folds loosely in place.
It can then be worn more or less like a scarf (admittedly an unusually heavy one), or more like a shawl, with the fabric fanning out the further it gets from the tie in the center. Edges have been left raw / unfinished and will fray.
Length: 208 cm
Width: 160 cm
