Maison Martin Margiela 6 2000s red polyester zip tape bag
A small bag by maison martin margiela, produced as part of line 6 in the mid-2000s. The body of the bag is made entirely from a red polyester zip tape, which is coiled and zipped together to create a bag. As a result, the whole bag can be unzipped, on one hand lengthening the strap but in turn making the bag progressively less useful for carrying things until, when fully unzipped, it is no more useful for carrying things than the coiled peel of an orange or perhaps zip tape skipping rope that it has somewhat come to resemble.
Of course, it most resembles the zip tape pencil case many seem to remember from childhood, although comparing one small bag made from zip tape to another small bag from zip tape is hardly an imaginative comparison.
The bag can be zipped fully closed, and is probably best for carrying a small number of necessary items, being that it has only a single interior compartment.
