Maison Martin Margiela 6 1990s khaki wool "STANDARD NECK" zip jumper - size M S
A knit jumper from maison martin margiela line 6. Made in the late 1990s from a medium-weight khaki wool rib, the jumper, which has a crew neck, has been designated a "STANDARD NECK", allowing us to infer that for martin margiela (and no doubt for some others), a crew neck is "STANDARD" for a jumper. The jumper is cut shortish in the body and longish through the sleeves, and is faced with cotton at the back neck.
Its most unusual detail is the set of invisible zips sewn into the body of the jumper, which unzip to reveal two fairly deep, (again cotton-lined) pockets. They are at once very practical (much in the way of the pockets on a hoodie, but on a knitted jumper), and also slightly unnerving.
There is minor pilling and wear to the body of the jumper
