A pink cotton tshirt from maison martin margiela line 6. Produced for margiela in the 1990s - early 2000s by italian knitwear manufacturer miss deanna, the phrase "X-WIDE NECK" has been painted onto the inside of the tshirt at the back neck and, unsurprisingly, it indeed has an X-WIDE NECK. Although the cuff and hem has been finished with a cover stitch, the edge of the X-WIDE NECK itself has been left unfinished, giving the appearance of a LESS-WIDE NECK having been cut away to create said X-WIDE NECK.

The tshirt has been made from a single piece of cotton jersey, with the front and back joined at the shoulders and sewn up at the side seam and underarm. Accordingly it has a straight rather than the sloped shoulder line you would expect from a two piece garment.
