Junya Watanabe SS2001 denim vest dress with patterned silk skirt and sleeves

Dress by junya watanabe comme des garcons (from spring 2001). The torso of the dress is a denim vest (made from a fairly rigid indigo cotton fabric), onto which patterned silk pieces (in the form of short sleeves and a skirt section) have been sewn. The front placket of the vest can be opened, but only up to the point where it has been sewn to the skirt, and the hem of the vest has been left unfinished. The silk portions have a vaguely creased feel, and paneled construction in the skirt creates gentle ruffles at the hem.

A skirt from the same collection is listed here.
