A heavy overcoat by JUNYA WATANABE COMME DES GARCONS, produced in 1992 from a thick wool melton. It has a double breasted front that can be worn folded down or buttoned up at the neck, solid, padded shoulders, and deep, waist pockets. The coat's most striking detail is the way the hem is finished, with a row of thick, braided tassles reminiscent of a heavy blanket. This detail adds an unexpected flourish to what is otherwise a traditionally designed overcoat. The coat has a generous, oversized cut which should accommodate a range of sizes depending on the desired fit.
