reconstructed military jacket

This product is sold out

Presented here a rare piece from JUNYA WATANABE's iconic AW 2006 collection composed of reconstructed, patchwork military surplus garments. The piece shown here is a cropped, open jacket, with an incredible level of detail and intricate construction. We particularly enjoy details such as the elaborate seaming, the wide row of channel stitching under the collar, and the fused zig zag stitch detail on the lapels. The jacket is a particularly fine example of Watanabe's knack for re-imagining textiles in new ways and his masterful use of patchwork. We have included a picture of a similar garment worn in the AW 2006 runway presentation.
