A black, four piece suit by German designer JIL SANDER. The suit is made from a lightweight, semi-sheer wool with 2% elastane added for comfort, and is composed of a blazer, dress, sleeveless top, and trousers. Because the suit combines four separate garments made from the same fabric, it can be worn in a number of ways or even as multiple outfits. And similarly, because the design details have been kept fairly restrained, typical of JIL SANDER, each garment is also versatile to be worn on its own with other, different garments as well.
The blazer is the most distinctive of the garments, with notch lapels, an open front placket, and long, self fabric straps which are buttoned to the back of the jacket and can be worn hanging down, buttoned twice onto the buttons to create loops, or wrapped around the waist as a tie. The dress is sleeveless, with a round neck at the front and a striking v neck at the back. The top is also sleeveless, with a crew neck and some darting through the bust for shape. The trousers are cut narrow but not tight, with a self fabric waistband and belt loops, and horisontal front pockets. Due to the soft, lightweight material used, the suit will hang gently off the body when worn.
