Issey Miyake 1990s purple and teal creased polyester vest
Purple and teal diagonal stripe creased polyester waistcoat by issey miyake (1990s). At first glance the stripe appears to be a print like normal, but is actually created by taking wide strips of purple fabric and stitching them onto a teal base with narrow gaps left between. The back is completely teal (just the base fabric without any of the purple strips), and the vest has a five button front with back tie to allow the waist to be cinched.
Decent vintage condition, with chipping to buttons and light discolouration to inside neckline (see picture 11).
