Asics describes the shoes as follows: “the late 2000s aesthetic of the UBS-1 GEL-KAYANO™ 14 sneaker explores the concept of "Retro Futurism" and its duality between archived fashion silhouettes and Japanese workwear” and notes its “synthetic leather overlays”, “GEL™ technology cushioning [that] provides excellent shock absorption”, and “TRUSSTIC™ support unit”. Colourway is “classic red / asics blue”, but “asics blue” is very definitely “purple”.
