2019 reissue of Asics' 2006 cult running shoe, the gel-kinsei OG. Here in the white/black colourway (which tbh should really be described as white/black/blue/red as it has pops of both of the latter). More about the gel-kinsei per asics advertising copy: "Uniting Japanese heritage and craftsmanship with modern mechanical design, this silhouette draws inspiration from a samurai's armour: shielding the body, while enabling it to move freely.

The angled GEL technology cushioning unit in the heel references the shape of the samurai's curvaceous katana sword to better attenuate the severity of shock upon heel strike. Presenting TRUSSTIC SYSTEM technology under the sole's arch to improve stability, this feature also lessens the shoe's overall weight.

Resurrected with visible evolution and a contemporary design, the GEL-KINSEI OG sneaker allows you to wear this shoe as a heritage icon that's still technical even by today's standards."
