Men’s Ba-tsu 1980s reversible black nylon MA-1 bomber jacket
Nylon bomber jacket by japanese label men’s ba-tsu (1980s). A fairly faithful reproduction of the MA-1 style bomber, it is made in a sheeny black nylon fabric, and has a zipped front, angled zip pockets at the waist, and ribbing at the neck, cuffs, and hem. The jacket is reversible, and made from slightly different black fabrics on each of the two sides.
Both sides display the same embroidered text, which seems to be a slogan regularly used by ba-tsu in the 1980s: “WE WON’T BOAST TO YOU ABOUT OUR FASHION PRODUCTS. TRY THEM AND FEEL THEM FOR YOURSELF. BA-TSU CREATIVE FASHIONS FOR THE CREATIVE LIFE” (which, frankly, is, sort of a boast posing as an anti-boast or maybe an anti-boast posing as a boast, or a boast posing as an anti-boast posing as a boast). On one side this text is small and placed on the shoulder (really quite subtle), and on the other it is large and on the back (not subtle at all). This gives the wearer the choice of displaying the above text subtly, or not subtly.
