Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons AW2001 navy wool circle pattern fitted skirt S
A skirt by junya watanabe comme des garcons (AW2001), made from a hefty, textured wool blend fabric with an intricately-woven, frankly eye popping pattern of dark navy circles set into a grid of red and white yarns. The skirt is long and narrow, cut fairly fitted to be body with slight flare at the base. Paneling towards base of skirt creates slightly distorted shape, disrupts repetition of pattern, results in further eyes popped. Hem left unfinished.
The skirt is shown couchfitted, in picture 11 with a green wool rib jumper by comme des garcons (1996) and sneakers (couchfitter's mother's own), in picture 12 with a hooded coat by ryuichiro shimazaki homme and sneakers (couchfitter's mother's own), and in picture 13 with a floral printed wool t-shirt by tricot comme des garcons (1995) and sneakers (couchfitter's mother's own).
